Suits Season 9 Is Finally Coming to Netflix

Acclaimed legal drama Suits is one of the most binge-able shows on Netflix, or any streaming platform for that matter. 

Originally running on the USA Network from 2011 to 2019, the legal drama followed Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), an extremely sharp college dropout who gets hired at a New York law firm by slick lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). What follows is all the characters clashing at any and every opportunity they get, a plethora of exciting legal cases and yes, even steamy office romances. No wonder the show is so addictive! 

Created by Aaron Korsh, the show’s first eight seasons debuted on Netflix last year to great success — making it the most streamed show of the year by the end of 2023. However, fans counting on Netflix to watch the ninth and final instalment of Suits were disappointed as it wasn’t available on the streaming platform. But now, it’s time to dance the ‘GreeNBAck Boogie’ again, because Suits season 9 is finally coming to Netflix!

The news, which has obviously got fans excited, comes on the heels of cast members Patrick J. Adams, Dulé Hill, Sarah Rafferty, Abigail Spencer, Amanda Schull and former USA Network president Jeff Wachtel catching up on 2 June for a reunion panel presented by Netflix’s Tudum at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas.

What is ‘Suits’ season 9 about?

Season 9 of Suits, which also happens to be the last season in the series, revolves around the transformed law firm Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams as it, once again, confronts uncertainty and change. Robert Zane’s (Wendell Pierce) sacrifice to protect Harvey from the Bar Association leaves Samantha Wheeler (Katherine Heigl) devastated after losing her mentor. While consoling Samantha, Harvey realises that he cannot bear to lose Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty), the person who means the most to him in and outside the office.

Throughout season 9, Harvey and Donna navigate the complexities of their relationship while striving to salvage the firm’s damaged reputation alongside Samantha and their other partners — Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), Katrina Bennett (Schull) and Alex Williams (Hill). As the season progresses, the personal lives of the main characters are delved into more profoundly than ever before, setting the stage for the series’ conclusion.

By the end of the season, each character is compelled to make definitive choices about their identities and the type of lawyers they aspire to become.
