Tenley and Kiptyn were runners-up in their respective seasons. Tenley comPeted for the heart of Jake Pavelka on season 14 of The Bachelor in 2010, losing his final rose to his now-ex Vienna Girardi.
Meanwhile, Kiptyn was rejected by season 5 Bachelorette Jillian Harris in 2009 after she accepted Ed Swiderski‘s proposal on the show’s finale.
Did Tenley and Kiptyn Win Season 1 of ‘Bachelor Pad’?
Tenley and Kiptyn quickly formed a bond and became one of the most talked about pairs of the season. The pair were inseparable during their time on Bachelor Pad, eventually becoming part of a core alliance that helped them advance to the finale. Although they didn’t win the grand prize money, they left the show with a strong connection and continued dating after the show ended.
“Kiptyn is one of the greatest things that has happened to me,” she told People in October 2010. “We make a really good team, and we’re going for the gold someday, and hopefully we’ll do that together.”
Tenley talked about their future brightly, hinting at eventually making it down the aisle. “We’re both very open to what this could be,” she explained. “Marriage someday, babies someday, and if not, we’ll be fine with that because there’s so much more to Kiptyn than I think people realize. He’s so attentive and supportive, he has blessed me in my life right now.”

Tenley and Kiptyn are no longer together. The pair dated for two and a half years before announcing their split in March 2013.

Two years later, Kiptyn welcomed his first child with his then-girlfriend Samm Murphy in July 2015, before moving on to date The Bachelor season 21 contestant Angela Amezcua in April 2024.
“I hung onto that relationship for a long time. It was something very special to me… There were a lot of pieces of me that developed, I guess,” Tenley told Us Weekly about their split in August 2015. “I got to meet the mom of the baby and she’s wonderful, she really is … It could’ve been awkward but it wasn’t… There’s a baby that’s in this world now and that’s a little life and they’re doing their life, and now it’s my turn to do mine.”
Tenley also found love after her time on the show. She married Taylor Leopold in 2018, welcoming their first child just two years later. The pair welcomed baby No. 2 in May 2024.
