St. Mary Academy – Bay View 100% graduation rate. Students earn $19M+ in scholarships

In front of a packed cathedral, St. Mary – Bay View celebrated its 148^th graduating class. Fifty young women from across Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts received their diplomas at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence.

Bay View’s 2024 graduating class had a 100% graduation rate and a 100% college acceptance rate. The young women were accepted into more than 100 colleges and together received more than $19 million in scholarship money.

The theme of this year’s graduation was leadership. The valedictorian, Laura DeGirolamo (Rehoboth) encouraged the girls to go after their dreams, “Don’t wait to pursue your dreams, go to festivals, never stop making noise, be loud, be bold, protest – be undeniably you.”

Bay View President, Amy Gravell, (class of “93) encouraged the all-girls graduating class to “Illuminate the world with your brilliance, your kindness, your unwavering commitment to making it a better place.”
