SRK lifts IPL trophy, celebrates win with family, B-Town stars

A jubilant Shah Rukh Khan hugged his wife Gauri Khan in joy as his Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders blasted their way to an electric eight-wicket victory in the league final.

The Bollywood superstar and KKR co-owner made sure to attend the final with his wife and Suhana, Aryan, and AbRam, despite having recently suffered from heatstroke. The win on Sunday marks the third IPL trophy for the KKR, who last won the cup in 2014.

Gauri captured the celebrations in a heartwarming Instagram post showing her and SRK beaming in joy and clutching the coveted trophy. Keeping the caption short and sweet, Gauri penned, “Winners @kkriders” alongside a heart emoji.

Showcasing his pride, SRK was seen heartily congratulating every member of the winning team, including coordinating an orchestrated flying kiss, emulating a gesture that had got KKR Harshit Rana officially reprimanded at the start of the season. Sealing the victory, SRK even planted a kiss on the forehead of team mentor Gautam Gambhir.

Adding to the family pride and joy, SRK’s daughter Suhana shared a delightful Instagram story of her father performing a cartwheel on the field, captioning it simply as “mood” – the “mood” being the sheer joy emanating in waves from the KKR camp.

SRK shares ownership of the KKR with fellow Bollywood superstar Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta. According to Indian media, the mega star’s active participation in the team’s highs and lows highlights his deep connection and commitment to the sport and the close-knit ties with the cricketing family he has embraced.
