The Premier League have confirmed the shortlists for the Player and Manager of the Month awards for March.

Seven players are recognised for their form, with a new winner of the award to be named after Rasmus Hojlund's success for Manchester United in February.

Title rivals Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp are in contention for the manager's gong, with two other Premier League bosses also in the running after impressive runs of form.

  • Alexander Isak (Newcastle United)
  • Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool)
  • Rodrigo Muniz (Fulham)
  • Cole Palmer (Chelsea)
  • Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)
  • Son Heung-min (Tottenham)
  • Ben White (Arsenal)

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is recognised for his four-goal contribution in March which included a double in the thrilling 4-3 win over West Ham United at St James' Park. The Swede, who has 15 goals to his name this season, also scored in his two other outings, against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea.

Alexis Mac Allister created 11 chances in three March appearances for Liverpool, who are well and truly in the mix for a second Premier League title in four years. The Argentine got on the scoresheet himself as well as adding two assists.

Fulham's form has been very up and down but things have only been trending one way for Rodrigo Muniz up front - he was in terrific form in March, scoring four goals and contributing an assist in four matches.

Cole Palmer continues to be Chelsea's leading light in a season doused with inconsistency - three goals and two assists his record from games against Brentford, Newcastle United and Burnley - while Son Heung-min has been in form for London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. The South Korean chalked up five goal invovlements, netting important goals against Crystal Palace, Luton Town and Aston Villa.

All eyes have been on Dominic Solanke down at Bournemouth but it's teammate Antoine Semenyo who has stolen the limelight in March. The 24-year-old helped the Cherries go unbeaten in four games, making the biggest impact against Luton as Bournemouth miraculously fought back from 3-0 down to win 4-3 at the Vitality - Semenyo's game-levelling goal followed by a winner soon after.

Finally, Ben White's impressive form for Arsenal is acknowledged with a March nomination. The Gunners were unbeaten in their three games, including a goalless draw at rivals Man City, and White scored at Sheffield United before setting up two goals against Brentford.

  • Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth)
  • Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)
  • Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool)
  • Ange Postecoglou (Tottenham Hotspur)

The south coast double is completed by Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, who has overseen a real reversal of fortunes in 2024. The Spaniard's side picked up ten points from a possible 12 in March, including wins over Burnley, Everton and Luton - the latter the most impressive after trailing 3-0 at half-time.

Arsenal's title charge continued with seven points from three matches - Mikel Arteta's charges put six past Sheffield United on their own patch before sneaking past Brentford at home five days later. The international break restricted the Gunners to just one more league Game in March - an impressive 0-0 draw against Man City at the Etihad.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool scored just four goals in their three matches but crucially kept pace with Arsenal, picking up seven points from nine, while Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham earned three wins from their four games in March. The only blip on the Greek-Australian's copybook was a desperately disappointing 3-0 defeat at Fulham.
