The Los Angeles Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers meet Sunday in NFL action from Acrisure Stadium. Here’s a Pittsburgh Steelers vs LA Chargers Prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Pittsburgh Steelers vs LA Chargers pick.

Los Angeles Chargers Betting Preview

The Chargers opened up the 2024 season with a home matchup versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Los Angeles was down 7-6 by halftime but rallied with 13 fourth-quarter points for a 22-10 win. QB Justin Herbert finished with 144 yards and a score, while JK Dobbins led the rush on 10 carries for 135 yards and a TD of his own.

In week two the Chargers took on the Carolina Panthers. In that one Los Angeles jumped out to a 20-0 edge by halftime and cruised to the win 26-3. Herbert logged 130 yards, two TDs and a pick in the victory. Dobbins had 131 yards and a score off 17 carries.

Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Preview

Over on the Steelers’ side, they played the Atlanta Falcons in their first Game of the year. Pittsburgh posted points in every quarter during an 18-10 victory featuring six field goals. Justin Fields went 17-of-23 for 156 yards. George Pickens caught six balls for 85 yards, and Najee Harris had 70 yards on 20 carries.

In Week 2 versus the Broncos, the Steelers were up 13-0 by the end of the third quarter and held on for the 13-6 victory. Fields had 117 yards and a touchdown this time. Leading the rush was Najee Harris with 69 yards off 17 carries.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs LA Chargers Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Chargers. LA posted another strong effort in the win over Carolina last weekend. The offense came up with 349 yards (219 rushing) and 21 first downs but did have a couple of turnovers. The Chargers held the Panthers to just 159 yards on defense (69 passing), seven first downs and only 1-of-12 on third-down conversions.

As for Pittsburgh, they rode a nice defensive effort in the win over Denver. The Steelers notched two takeaways and held the Broncos to just 13 first downs with 2-of-12 on third-down tries. The Pittsburgh offense wasn’t spectacular however (251 total yards; 110 passing) and the team committed 10 penalties for 78 yards. I’m not sure the Steelers can hold up against LA’s passing attack well enough to win/cover, even at home.
