The Arkansas Razorbacks and the Auburn Tigers meet Saturday in college Football action from Jordan-Hare. Here’s an Auburn vs Arkansas prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Auburn vs Arkansas pick.

Arkansas Razorbacks Betting Preview

The Razorbacks didn’t have any problems with an overmatched AR-Pine Bluff team in their opener. Arkansas blew out the Golden Lions 70-0. Next came a difficult matchup versus a very good Oklahoma State team. The Razorbacks fell in that one 39-31 in overtime.

Game three for the Razorbacks was against UAB. Arkansas was all tied up 20-20 at halftime. Arkansas rallied in the second half and ultimately powered out the win 37-27. QB Taylor Green had 161 yards and one pick but also scored twice on the ground on 17 carries for 96 yards.

Auburn Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Auburn side, they also had a pretty easy opener matchup. The Tigers blew the doors off Alabama A&M, cruising to the win 73-3. Auburn’s dominance didn’t carry over to week two however, as the Tigers fell to California 21-14 to fall back to .500 on the year.

Auburn played New Mexico in their latest outing. In that matchup the Tigers held a modest 17-13 edge by the end of the second quarter. Auburn got better from there in an eventual 45-19 win. Hank Brown threw for 235 yards and four scores. Jarquez Hunter carried 20 times for 152 yards and a TD.

Auburn vs Arkansas Prediction

I’m going with Auburn. Neither of these teams played particularly well in the first halves of their most recent Games, however. The Tigers ended up with some solid numbers on offense: 503 total yards (235 passing), 7.6 yards per play and 27 first downs. It was a sloppy Game though, as Auburn committed eight penalties for 88 yards. The Lobos were even worse on 16 penalties for 112 yards, which certainly didn’t hurt Auburn’s chances.

As for Arkansas, they also benefitted from 10 UAB penalties during a modest passing day (161 yards) in their win. The Razorbacks defense was pretty good (354 yards surrendered) overall, but they’ll have their hands full with Auburn.

Andrew's Free Pick: Auburn Tigers -4.5
