The PFA have unveiled the six nominees for the 2022/23 Players' Player of the Year award.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah won the prize in 2021/22, but after the Reds' underwhelming Premier League campaign, has not made the final cut this time around.

Instead, the shortlist is dominated by stars from Manchester City's title winners, with no fewer than three members of Pep Guardiola's team making the cut.

Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, the back-to-back winner between 2019 and 2021, has the chance to become the only player in history to win the award three times but will have to fend off competition from teammates Erling Haaland and John Stones.

Haaland broke the 38-game season scoring record as he netted 36 goals across his 35 appearances and is an early favourite for the award.

Finishing off the City representatives is John Stones, who reinvented himself as a midfielder towards the end of the campaign and played an enormous role in the Cityzens' famous treble.

Arsenal's impressive season has seen two Gunners stars make the cut. Club captain Odegaard netted 15 goals to fire Mikel Arteta's side back into the title picture, while Saka emerged as one of the Premier League's top talents with 14 goals and 11 assists to his name.

Finishing off the list is former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who left the club to join Bayern Munich this summer.

In what was a disappointing campaign for Spurs, Kane enjoyed a stellar individual season as he bagged 30 goals of his own, failing to score in just 12 Games all year.
