Pacers vs Knicks Prediction & Same Game Parlay picks: Bounce-back game from Haliburton at +500 odds | Pickswise
Game 1 of the Pacers vs Knicks series brought us a +509 odds Same Game Parlay winner. I’m hoping to add to that winner as the two teams square off at MSG for Game 2 on Wednesday night. Tip-off is at 8 pm ET on TNT, continue reading to see my SGP bet below.
Indiana vs New York is the only NBA Game on Wednesday, but for predictions on the side and total for Thursday’s Games simply visit our NBA picks page.
Let’s dive into my SGP bet now!
Jalen Brunson Under 37.5 points (-120)
Tyrese Haliburton Over 8.5 assists (-155)
Isaiah Hartenstein Under 9.5 rebounds (-110)
Same Game Parlay odds: +500
Jalen Brunson Under 37.5 points (-120)
Brunson is on a streak of 4 straight 40+ point postseason games, something we haven’t seen done since the good old days of Michael Jordan dominating our sport. Even though we’ve gone accustomed to seeing him do it, Brunson will have to cool off at some point. I’m not really a fan of doing unders when it comes to players scoring, but when you are getting -120 odds for a player to score under 38 points, that’s a bet I’m willing to take. The 43 point game in the series opener was his 3rd straight game vs Indy (including the regular season) with at least 39 points, at some point the Pacers will have to come up with a game-plan to slow him down. This is where Tyrese Haliburton and other Pacers backcourt players come in. They have to make an effort to wear down Brunson on the defensive end; that way he won’t be able to stay as effective on offense. Let’s hope tonight is the night and he finishes with a slightly modest output in Game 2.
Tyrese Haliburton Over 8.5 assists (-155)
Haliburton didn’t have the best of Games on Monday, finishing with just 6 points and 8 assists. After the Game it was revealed he was held back by a minor back injury, but he should be fine for Game 2 which means a bounce back performance could be on the cards. The Pacers’ offense flourishes the best when Haliburton has it going and we saw him average 9.3 assists per Game against the Bucks in the opening round of the playoffs. The Knicks did a solid job fronting him in Game 1, but let’s not forget he had 2 Games of 12 and 23 assists against them during the regular season. I’m expecting a much more aggressive approach from him in Game 2, which should result in a double-digit assist performance.
Isaiah Hartenstein Under 9.5 rebounds (-110)
I’m actually surprised we’re getting this good of a price for Hartenstein to finish under 10 rebounds in this game. He is yet to have a double-digit rebounding game in 7 attempts this postseason, finishing the series with Philadelphia averaging just 6.5 boards per game. He opened the series on Monday with only 6, spending quite a bit of his time on defense trying to guard Myles Turner around the perimeter. Indiana’s approach on offense shouldn’t change too much in Game 2, so Hartenstein’s numbers will probably stay the same — and even if he gets an extra 3 rebounds our bet cashes. Mitchell Robinson’s injury likely means Hartenstein logs 40+ minutes, but that also means the likes of OG Anunoby and Josh Hart will step up even more on the defensive end and carry the Knicks rebounding wise. This is an under for me.
