Opportunities to support Alliance for Better Long Term Care’s spring auction
The 16th Annual Silent Auction Spectacular, supporting the Alliance for Better Long Term Care, benefits the mission of helping the most vulnerable populations throughout the state. The Online Silent Auction begins on Thursday, April 6th – with the live event set for Thursday, April 13, 5:30 pm. – 9:30 pm, at the Warwick Country Club, located at 394 Narragansett Bay Avenue, in Warwick.
Sponsors and advertisers are being recruited NOW to support the event.
According to the ABLTC Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer Board President, Rita Martin, funds raised through its annual signature event helps the most vulnerable people throughout the state. The Foundation achieves this through supporting programs, services, outreach and support to the elderly, disabled, financially exploited and neglected.
Keri Salinger, COO for the Foundation said, “We chose to make our Silent Auction our only main fundraiser this year – we will be focusing all our efforts towards making the Silent Auction Spectacular event the best one yet, preempting the annual Golf Tournament. We have some wonderful items that will attract interest and raise more money to further our work and mission. The Foundation has been very fortunate with the quality of donated items over the years. I am eternally grateful for the continued support of the business community and the public as well.”
“The generosity of our supporters helps to protect the rights of mothers, fathers, grandparents and all elderly and disabled individuals who are victims of abuse, neglect and financial exploitation while receiving long-term care services in Rhode Island,” she explained.
The Auction Spectacular features Sports and movie memorabilia, including autographed photos of local Sports legends and Hollywood icons, gift cards to local eateries and services, wines, Games, day trips and tickets to events such as plays or ball Games.
Past live auction events have showcased incredible trips to Tuscany, St Maarten and other exotic locales. These trips are highly sought after and the bidding often gets intense, according to Martin.
Those who sign up for the virtual silent auction will have a chance to bid on unique baskets and packages, including gift baskets filled with gift cards to local merchants, restaurants, services and more. There are a few great raffle drawings and some “Buy Now” items as well, according to Martin.
Participants who register and attend the live event are also eligible to one of several door prizes through drawings throughout the evening. There will be Premium Auction items that will be up for bid during the program, among them include: a Foxwoods Getaway for Two that includes a dinner and show of the winner’s choosing, a seven-day trip for four to Italy and a seven-day trip to Antigua for two.
