Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton reacted to the Hoops’ incredible 3-1 win over RB Leipzig, where Celtic stepped up at Europe’s highest level.

Sutton was in jubilant mood post-match for a superb performance against such an attacking RB Leipzig, who currently sit second in the Bundesliga.

The Englishman highlighted a number of players who he believes stood out in the victory.

Sutton, as often, is spot on in his analysis, with four Hoops players in particular standing out.

Auston Trusty has really found his feet after a shaky start against Falkirk in the Premier Sports Cup, now being a rock in defence alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers.

With the American taken off in the second half while the Hoops were leading, Carter-Vickers was wisely rested, something that will likely be seen throughout the season, given his difficult time with injuries over the last three years.

Callum McGregor rolled back the years with his ability to drive forward, showing he simply hasn’t aged.

The Celtic skipper continues to thrive in a deeper role, something that has changed him as a Footballer.

He ran the Game with ease, covering for all those around him, including the Celtic defence and midfield.

McGregor has formed an incredible partnership with Reo Hatate, who himself has looked at the top of his Game in recent matches.

The Japanese midfielder, on his day, is unplayable, and tonight was one of those days.

He was able to drive forward on the ball, with his combination of dribbling and ability to play line-splitting passes a joy to watch, with the real standout moment for him when he took the ball on the half-turn, nutmegged his opponent, and played an incredible through ball to Kyogo Furuhashi, all from the Celtic half.

Hatate was rewarded for his hard work with a goal in the second half after a blunder from Peter Gulacsi, with a superb clinical finish.

Lastly, but by no means least, Nicolas Kuhn was well worth Man of the Match.

With a brace, he reached a level that everyone hoped he could achieve, but only he really knew he could.

Kuhn has transformed his Celtic career from a bench warmer last season to one of the first names on the teamsheet.

He is a serious contender for Player of the Year already.

His style of play is a joy to watch, and he is the very definition of a Celtic winger, someone who takes risks on the ball and constantly attacks defenders.
