Nikki Glaser reveals the real reason Kim Kardashian was booed at Tom Brady roast
Nikki Glaser claims a random comedian initiated Kim Kardashian being booed at Tom Brady’s roast — and it had nothing to do with that Taylor Swift rivalry.
The comedian explained that she “ran into someone” at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood, Calif., after the May 5 Netflix special, and they were with some “wild guy who’s a comedian” with a “reputation for just, like, starting s–t.”
“Apparently, he started the boo as just, like, a joke. He just had too many drinks or something, and he’s not affiliated with Swifties or anything [and] just felt like saying a boo into the air, and apparently everyone was so riled up,” she said in Tuesday’s episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.
Glaser, 39, also reminded listeners that the audience at “The Roast of Tom Brady” was mostly “sports fans” who may not follow the Kardashians.
“It just kinda caught wind, but it wasn’t Swiftie-meditated. I do have that on good information that it was not based on that. Because I was like, this doesn’t feel like a huge Swiftie crowd, but it didn’t feel like that was the vibe in the room,” she continued.
The stand-up comic theorized that the people who booed the “Kardashians” star, 43, were “sports fans wanting to have some sort of release to boo.”
“The guy started it started it as a joke, and it caught on too much, but I was so glad to learn it was not Swiftie-meditated,” Glaser, a Swiftie herself, said.
The “FBoy Island” host pointed out that “it’s not just Swifties who have beef” with Kardashian, as many people are stuck on the belief that the reality star and the rest of her family are “not talented” and “famous for nothing.”
“I don’t want to hear that anymore that they’re not talented. They clearly are! They’ve achieved something consistently for 20 years now. They’re talented! It just doesn’t look like the talent you define,” she said.
Glaser spilled the tea after countless viewers theorized that Swift’s fans had booed Kardashian amid their years-long feud, which the pop superstar, 34, recently brought back to surface with her aptly titled song “thanK you aIMee.”
The Skims founder was in the middle of roasting the NFL legend, 46, onstage when she had to pause as a roar of boos erupted, which Netflix later edited out.
“All right, all right, all right,” she said, keeping her cool.
Kardashian has yet to address the negative reaction in detail, but she has since been seen out and about and bragging about having “fun.”
