NHL Player Props and Best Bets Today for 11-4: Tide Keeps Rising for Arvidsson

It's a small two-game slate on Monday but I'm still digging for some gem NHL player props to add to the card tonight. I don't see a ton of value in the Kings vs. Predators game, unless you like betting low-scoring affairs, but the late game in Edmonton could have some two-way scoring, which has me betting a prop on both sides of the benches.

These are my favorite NHL picks for player props Monday, November 4.

NHL prop picks and best bets for November 4

  • Oilers Arvidsson o0.5 points (-114 at BetRivers)
  • Devils Hughes + Bratt o0.5 points each (+116 at DraftKings)

Picks made on 11-4 at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Today’s NHL prop picks and best bets

Prop bet #1: Viktor Arvidsson Over 0.5 points

-114 at BetRivers

With Connor McDavid out of the picture in Edmonton, it has been Leon Draisaitl driving the offense, and Viktor Arvidsson is riding on that top line. He might not be on the first power-play unit, but the first-line winger has four points over his last five games while seeing a bumpe in minutes since McDavid has hit the shelf.

Draisaitl could flirt with his Over 1.5 points at good plus-money tonight, as he has three 3-point games over his last four matches. He is picking up where McDavid left off.

The Edmonton Oilers played last night, so a Game with a backup in net could force more two-way scoring. The Devils are a team on the last Game of a West Coast road trip and might not have their best effort tonight. This Game could be wide-open and getting a first-line winger point at this price in a Game with a total of 6.5 is great, and one I'd play to -125.

If you want more, add his Over 2.5 SOG to the prop as he has hit this Over in each game without McDavid.

Prop bet #2: Jack Hughes + Jesper Bratt Over 0.5 points each

+116 at DraftKings

This is the only stack of New Jersey Devils players who play 5-on-5 and PP1 together and it is one of the more probable stack point props. Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt have combined for 15 total points over 14 Games this year and get a great matchup vs. Edmonton on the second half of a back-to-back. They've pointed in six of the last 10 Games.

Hughes is actually the skater who is pointing at a lower rate but his Game is picking up and the power play gets to face the No. 32-ranked penalty kill. The Oilers have been getting killed at 5-on-4, having allowed a goal when shorthanded at a near-40% rate.

This pair can get it done on the power play tonight, but if that doesn't fly, 5-on-5 is not a concern at all either. This is my favorite stack of the night.
