Best early bet for NFL Week 13: Atlanta Falcons -2.5 over New York Jets (-115)

It’s easy to be fooled by the idea that the Jets aren’t one of the worst teams in the NFL. Their 4-7 record isn’t close to the worst and the current ineptitude of the AFC East rival Patriots have people overlooking the Jets. Of course, the truth is that this team is absolutely among the worst of the worst. New York is 0-4 in its last 4 since starting the season 4-3 and it has scored 6, 12, 6 and 13 points in the past 4 weeks. The Jets have not exceeded the 20-point mark since Week 5. 

Up next for head coach Robert Saleh’s squad is a home date with Atlanta. There is no home-field advantage for the Jets these days, however. They have lost 4 of their last 5 at MetLife Stadium, including the last 2 by a combined score of 71-19. Sure the Falcons are nothing special, but they are coming off their biggest win of the year over the Saints that has them atop the NFC South. Momentum is with the visitors.
