Can the Minnesota Timberwolves fight off going down 3-0 to the Dallas Mavericks in the franchise’s biggest playoff series in 20 years? You can find out our NBA picks on the side and total of every game through the postseason, but for now, let’s dive into today’s best NBA player prop bets for Timberwolves vs Mavericks on Sunday, May 26.

Kyle Anderson, MIN, Under 2.5 assists (+100)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

I’m taking a +EV approach for this first bet of the night for Game 3. DraftKings is offering Kyle Anderson’s under assist line at plus money, while books like ESPN are offering it at -125.

I’m turning our attention to backup big/ball-handler Kyle Anderson. He came up huge in stretches in Game 3 with Karl-Anthony Towns watching from the sidelines after shooting 4-for-16 from the field. But I’m banking on a slight regression from Anderson and his minutes dwindling down a tad.

Anderson is coming off a 5-assist Game in Game 3, in which we saw a potentially hobbled Anthony Edwards take a slight backseat — ultimately costing the Timberwolves the Game. In a do-or-die Game, I expect Edwards, Towns and Mike Conley to operate much of the offense and Anderson to stay under this line for the 9th time this postseason.

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN, Over 22.5 points + assists (-110)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Karl-Anthony Towns impressed in the 2nd-round series against the defending champion Denver Nuggets. This conference finals series against Dallas has been a complete 180 for the big man. He is shooting below 30% from the field in 2 Games and was benched for the final 9 minutes of regulation in Game 2 after Naz Reid went ballistic for 23 points on 7 3-point makes — unsustainable numbers.

Towns has been ultra-efficient on the road during this playoff run. In 6 games on the road, he is shooting 57% from the field on an average of 15 shots per game. Depending on Edwards’ health, Towns should be looking at upwards of 20+ field-goal attempts with a matchup advantage on the offensive end. As always with Towns, bettors will need him to avoid foul trouble.
