The Major League Baseball postseason continues with another 4-game slate of wild-card action on Wednesday. There are Game 2s all across the board, including in this American League series between the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays. Texas took the opener 4-0 on Tuesday, so it will be looking to close out Tampa Bay and punch a ticket to the ALDS.

Here is my Same Game Parlay for Game 2 of this American League wild-card series, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks.

Rays ML (-146)

Josh Lowe to score a run (+100)

Corey Seager to record an RBI (+135)

Parlay odds: +790

Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Josh Lowe scoring a run would obviously work well with a Rays victory. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing Corey Seager of Texas to drive in at least 1 run. But even if he does, there is no reason why Tampa Bay can’t take care of Business. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Rays ML (-146)

The Rays have their backs against the wall on Wednesday but they should have a good chance to tie up the series at 1-1. Zach Eflin is toeing the rubber for Game 2 and he has been awesome at home in 2023. In 18 starts at Tropicana Field the right-hander has compiled a 3.30 ERA while limiting hitters to a .238 batting average to go along with a 30.4% strikeout rate. As for the Rangers, they have been dealing with injuries to their rotation all season long. Nathan Eovaldi, who is getting the nod for this contest, has endured physical problems of his own. Since returning from a forearm issue, Eovaldi has a disastrous 9.30 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP in 6 appearances. All of this sets up extremely well for the Rays.

Josh Lowe to score a run (+100)

Lowe didn’t start in Game 1 because the Rangers threw a left-hander in Jordan Montgomery (Lowe eventually pinch hit and walked). He will absolutely be in the lineup on Wednesday when Eovaldi takes the mound. Lowe is 3-for-5 lifetime in this matchup with a double and 2 walks. It should also be noted that the 25-year-old outfielder wrapped up the regular season in incredible form. He is on an 11-Game hitting streak has delivered multi-hit performances in 4 of his last 6 starts. I expect Lowe to reach base at least a couple of times on Wednesday and given how bad Eovaldi has been the Rays should have no trouble bringing Lowe around to score.

Corey Seager to record an RBI (+135)

Eflin should be able to turn in a strong performance in Game 2, but anyone in the Texas order can get to him then it’s Seager. The lefty is 3-or-7 lifetime against Eflin with a double, a home run and a walk. Seager hit safely in 10 of his last 12 regular-season Games and ended the 2023 campaign with a .327 batting average to go along with 33 homers and 96 RBIs. On Tueday he went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. I’ll bet on him to remain hot.
