The week in Major League Baseball continues with a modest 10-Game slate on Thursday. It includes four afternoon contests, as teams wrap up the series and head out on the road to begin new ones. The schedule features Brewers at Braves, Orioles at Blue Jays, Rays at Cardinals and Phillies at Diamondbacks.

Below is my mega parlay, and be sure to check out all of our MLB picks

Mets -1.5 (-105)

Orioles -1.5 (+142)

Rays ML (+112)

MLB parlay odds: +902

For this parlay, I am going with two favorites on the run line and one underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the three legs.

New York Mets -1.5 over Colorado Rockies (-105)

The Mets have mostly been in fine form over the past couple of months, and as a reward for their efforts, they are in serious National League wild-card contention. New York’s charge should continue positively with David Peterson on the mound. He is 5-1 this season with a 3.47 ERA. In 11 starts this season, Peterson has thrown 59.2 innings, striking out 47 and walking only 27. The Rockies are countering with Austin Gomber, who is 3-7 this season with a 4.66 ERA. Gomber is nothing special, and the Mets generally feast on left-handed pitching (.260 average, 41 home runs). If Francisco Lindor and company can get to Gomber early, they will see several at-bats against a Colorado bullpen that is dead last in the majors with a 5.55 ERA. Count on New York winning big.

Baltimore Orioles -1.5 over Toronto Blue Jays (+142)

Kevin Gausman of Toronto is toeing the rubber against his former team, and he is likely in store for a rough day at the office. Gausman’s ERA ballooned to 4.56 following his most recent outing in which he surrendered 5 runs (4 earned) to the Yankees on 8 hits and 3 walks during last Friday’s AL East showdown. Now, the veteran right-hander faces a potent Baltimore lineup. Jackson Holliday has homered in 3 straight Games and has driven in at least 1 run in five straight – including 2 runs during Wednesday’s 7-3 win over the Blue Jays. Anthony Santander’s outstanding 2024 campaign included 2 more home runs in yesterday’s content. Look for Dean Kremer to get more than enough run support as the O’s try to gain sole possession of first place in the division (currently tied with New York).

Tampa Bay Rays ML over St. Louis Cardinals (+112)

The Rays have lost each of the first two Games to begin this interleague series, but they should be able to salvage a win on Thursday. Tampa Bay has not lost 3 in a row since the all-star break; in fact, the last time this club dropped 3 in succession was July 5-7. Shane Baz will be tasked with ending the short skid and has been stellar in his last three appearances. During this stretch, the 25-year-old righty has allowed just 4 runs in 14.2 innings of work and boasts a 12-to-3 strikeout-to-walk ratio in his previous 11.1 innings. St. Louis starter Kyle Gibson has delivered only one quality start in his previous seven outings. The Rays have good value as small underdogs.
