The week in Major League Baseball continues with a modest 9-Game slate on Thursday. Plenty of teams in the league are off (which is frequently the case on a Thursday), but there is still enough action to whet the apPetites of fans and bettors. The slate includes Cubs vs Giants, Rangers vs Orioles and Yankees vs Blue Jays.

Below is my mega parlay, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks.

Cubs -1.5 (+154)

Yankees -1.5 (+120)

Reds ML (+110)

MLB parlay odds: +1073

For this parlay I am going with 2 favorites on the run line and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Cubs -1.5 over Giants (+154)

The Cubs have lost 4 Games in a row and find themselves in last place in the NL Central. At 37-44, they have to pick up the pace sooner rather than later if they want to remain in the mix for a wild-card spot. Shota Imanaga – despite his last start – should be the man to get his team back on track. The Japanese left-hander shockingly gave up 10 runs in 3.0 innings against the Mets last Friday, but that was obviously an aberration as opposed to the rule. Imanaga was previously 7-1 with a 1.89 ERA, establishing himself as one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball. The Giants are looking for a 4-Game sweep, but they had previously lost 5 straight – including 2 at the hands of these same Cubs. Let’s count on Imanaga getting back on track.

Yankees -1.5 over Blue Jays (+120)

New York has lost 3 in a row for the third time this season and will be hoping to avoid its first 4-Game skid when this 4-Game series against AL East rival Toronto gets underway. Carlos Rodon taking the mound should be just what the doctor ordered. The left-hander got roughed up by the Braves in his most recent outing, but he is still 9-4 with a 3.86 ERA. The Yankees have won 7 of his last 9 starts. Toeing the rubber for the Blue Jays is Jose Berrios, who has cooled off in a major way. Berrios was sporting a 1.44 ERA through his first 7 appearances; he compiled a 4.70 ERA in May and is at 5.56 through 4 June starts. The right-hander better watch out for Aaron Judge, who is batting .403 this month and has homered in 4 of the past 6 contests. Give me the Yanks to win big.

Reds ML over Cardinals (+110)

Admittedly, the Reds are also playing pretty terrible baseball – losers of 2 straight and 8 of their last 11. However, Andrew Abbott will likely come to the rescue. Abbott has already picked up 6 wins this season and comes in with a clean 3.40 ERA and 1.18 WHIP to go along with a 70-to-26 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Cincinnati has won 3 of his 4 starts in June. The Cardinals are countering with Miles Mikolas, who is saddled with a 4.68 ERA. Mikolas better be good if St. Louis wants to win on Thursday because it just played a double-header against Atlanta on Wednesday and used 7 total relievers in the process. That doesn’t bode well at all for the home team’s prospects in this series opener against Abbott and the visiting Reds. Cincy has great value as an underdog.
