With Opening Day in the rearview mirror, we are off and running in this 2024 Major League Baseball season. Action on the diamond continues with a full 15-Game slate on Sunday, headlined by the ESPN Game of the week between the Dodgers and Cardinals. Meanwhile, the Braves are looking to finish off a sweep of the Phillies and the Yankees will try to do the same against the Astros.

Below is my mega parlay for Sunday; MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW151144984 BCX0">also be sure to check out all of MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW151144984 BCX0">our MLB picks.

Tigers -1.5 (+114)

Yankees ML (+104)

Rangers -1.5 (+136)

MLB parlay odds: +930

For this parlay I am going with 2 favorites on the run line and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Detroit Tigers -1.5 over Chicago White Sox (+114)

Detroit is a young team that is without question on the rise. Okay, the Tigers may not be the Orioles – who are young and also built to win a World Series right now – but they do have plenty of future promise. The present looks quite good, as well, as the Tigers are off to a 2-0 start to the 2024 campaign. Each of their first two victories came by 1 run over the White Sox, but I think they can roll to a multi-run win in the series finale. Every club needs at least a few veterans to go along with its youth, and Detroit has it in the former of right-hander Jack Flaherty. The former Cardinal and Oriole will take the mound for his Tigers debut on Sunday. It is true that Flaherty has lost a step in recent years, but he still should have a sizable edge over Chicago counterpart Erick Fedde (6-13, 5.81 ERA in 2023).

New York Yankees ML over Houston Astros (+104)

The Yankees have surged to an impressive 3-0 start at the Astros’ expense. New York on the money line was part of my mega parlay each of the last 2 days and I’m going right back to the well for the series finale. Juan Soto and Oswaldo Cabrera have been especially clutch for the Bronx Bombers, helping them outscore the opposition by a total of 17-8. Clarke Schmidt will try to polish off the sweep for the visitors; he ended last season in fine form and during spring training he compiled a 1-0 record with a 3.18 ERA. The pressure is all on Houston to finally find the win column in 2024. It may not happen.

Texas Rangers -1.5 over Chicago Cubs (+136)

The Rangers also look poised to complete a sweep, this one of the 3-Game variety. Their World Series title defense has gotten off to a strong start at the expense of the Chicago Cubs and I expect it to continue on Sunday. Chicago is already reeling, with 2 losses in 2 Games plus an injury to ace Justin Steele (likely out for the entire month of April). Texas is already pounding the baseball, boasting an impressive team batting average of .333 with 5 home runs. In other words, this team is picking up right where it left off last fall. Adolis Garcia has 2 of the dingers in addition to a .375 average. Jon Gray is toeing the rubber for the Rangers after tossing 8.0 innings of scoreless baseball throughout spring training. All signs point to another win for Texas, probably in convincing fashion.
