The young 2024 Major League Baseball season continues with a more than full 17-Game slate on Saturday. Yes, there are a pair of double-headers today (Yankees vs Guardians and Twins vs Tigers). We also have a National League West showdown between the Padres and Dodgers at 9:10 pm ET on ESPN+.

Below is my mega parlay for Saturday; MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW134159182 BCX0">also be sure to check out all of MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW134159182 BCX0">our MLB picks.

Texas Rangers ML over Houston Astros (+124)

People are wondering what it would be like if the Astros don’t win the American League West. I guess we’re about to find out!

Houston is a horrendous 4-11 so far in 2024, already 4.5 Games back of the defending World Series champion Rangers in the division. Obviously the ‘Stros aren’t out of it by any means, but to say this a rough start would be an understatement. Although Ronel Blanco is doing his best to keep this club afloat, you have to think some regression is coming. It could come against a potent Texas lineup, which banged out 12 runs in a series-opening victory on Friday. Give me the visitors to win again with great value well into plus money.

Atlanta Braves -1.5 over Miami Marlins (-118)

This is another case of a divison rivalry between the best and the worst. And while you have to think the Astros will start climbing in the AL West at some point, there is no reason to think the Marlins (2-12) will make any movement in the NL East. Miami stinks, and with Eury Perez out for the season there is little reason for optimism. With a depleted staff, Miami will turn to Max Meyer for his fifth MLB appearance on Saturday. It’s a tough task facing Atlanta, which boasts arguably the best lineup in baseball. Meyer will be opposed by Chris Sale, who is off to a great start with the Braves. The veteran left-hander is 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA and 13 strikes through 2 outings. He now faces a Marlins team that has scored 0, 1 and 2 runs in its last 3 losses. The Braves rolled 8-1 on Friday and they should win comfortably once again.

Chicago Cubs -1.5 over Seattle Mariners (+128)

The returns are still early, but by all indications it is good news for the Cubs when Shota Imanaga toes the rubber. And that’s putting it mildly. The Japanese left-hander has not given up a single run through his first 2 major-league appearances. He worked 6.0 innings of shutout baseball against Colorado before befuddling the Dodgers to the tune of zero runs allowed in 4.0 innings. Imanaga has issued zero walks and just 4 hits while striking out 12 batters. Chicago is 2-0 when he takes the mound and has picked up those victories by a combined margin of 13-1. The Mariners took the series opener on Friday, but they are still scuffling at 6-8. Emerson Hancock (11.42 ERA through 2 starts) doesn’t inspire any confidence, so give me Imanaga and the Cubbies to win big.
