The Toronto Blue Jays and the Minnesota Twins meet Sunday in MLB action from Target Field. Here’s a Minnesota Twins vs Toronto Blue Jays prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Twins vs Blue Jays pick.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

The Blue Jays played the rival Boston Red Sox in their last set. Toronto managed a split in that series 2-2. The Jays fell to the Twins 2-0 in their series opener, then on Saturday Toronto rolled to a 15-0 blowout win. Starter Jose Berrios managed 6.0 innings with three hits and a walk.

In the starter slot for the Blue Jays on Sunday it’ll be Yariel Rodriguez. So far Rodriguez is 1-6 with a 4.82 ERA in the first 16 starts of his career.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Over on the Twins’ side, they took on the Atlanta Braves in their early-week series. Minnesota lost all three of those Games in a sweep. In their Saturday matchup the Twins gave up a whopping 23 hits in the loss. Zebby Matthews was tagged for nine earned on 10 hits in 2.0 innings in a rough start.

It’ll be Bailey Ober in the start for the Twins on Sunday. Ober is 12-6 with a 4.06 ERA in 25 starts this year. In his career Ober is 25-18 with a 3.77 ERA in 82 starts.

Minnesota Twins vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction

I’m leaning toward the Twins. Probably not touching it, though. Both starters need a good bounce-back outing here. Ober posted nine earned in 2.0 innings during a loss to Atlanta in his last outing. Prior to that he had five earned in 12.0 frames. As for Rodriguez, he’s given up 15 earned over his last 14.1 innings in three starts, going 0-1.

On Saturday the Twins were buried from the beginning, trailing 11-0 by the end of the third. Minnesota could only muster four hits themselves in a horrific outcome on both sides of the ball. It’s going to take a massive turnaround to muster a series victory with a win Sunday.
