Mikel Merino Addresses Future Amid Man United Transfer Rumors

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract situation, Merino expressed his enjoyment of living in the picturesque city of San Sebastian, praising its beauty and quality of life.

“We live very well, very well. It is a spectacular city. They leave you in peace, you can sit on a terrace, walk around… it’s beautiful. And for those of us who like gAstronomy… it is one of the best places in the world to live,” Merino added.

Merino reportedly has a release clause of €60 million in his contract with Real Sociedad. The club may consider selling him in the summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer in 2025.

A versatile midfielder, Merino has scored 26 goals in 234 Games for La Real and was part of the club’s Copa del Rey-winning side in the 2019/20 season.

Despite the transfer rumors swirling around him, Merino remains focused on helping Real Sociedad achieve their goals this season and making History with the club.
