Memorial Tournament 2024 Round 1 Thursday tee times and pairings
Muirfield Village Golf Club has been hosting the Memorial Tournament since 1976, known as the “fifth major” on the men’s circuit. The club has also welcomed other major Golf events. Golf legend Jack Nicklaus updates the course annually. It has consistently been acclaimed and ranked as the number one Golf course in Ohio by Golf Digest and one of America’s 100 Greatest Courses.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is returning to action this week at the Memorial after dealing with some challenges. Felony charges against him were dropped last week stemming from his arrest at the PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. Scheffler will start his tournament on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. ET, playing alongside Ludvig Aberg.

Another superstar in the field is Rory McIlroy, who has been in excellent form in recent weeks. He’s aiming for his third PGA Tour win in two months and his first at the Memorial Tournament. He begins his opening round alongside two-time PGA Champion Justin Thomas at 1:20 p.m. ET.
In 2023, Viktor Hovland completed a thrilling playoff win against Denny McCarthy. The Norwegian will be seeking a similar outcome this week. He’ll play alongside Xander Schauffele in the opening two rounds, who’s making his first start since winning the PGA Championship at Valhalla in May. The pair begins at 10:20 a.m. ET in the first round.
