Marriage rumours swirl around Neeraj Chopra and Manu Bhaker post-Olympics

Following the conclusion of the Paris Olympics 2024, social media has been flooded with rumours about a possible romantic relationship between Indian Olympians Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra.

The speculation gained traction after a video surfaced showing the two athletes interacting warmly at a post-Olympics event in India.

In the video, Neeraj was also seen engaging in conversation with Manu Bhaker’s mother, fuelling further speculation.

The viral video led to a wave of online chatter, with many joking that Manu Bhaker’s mother was assessing Neeraj Chopra as a potential match for her daughter.

Despite the online buzz, neither athlete has publicly commented on the rumours.

Reacting to the buzz, Manu Bhaker’s father, Ram Kishan Bhaker, stepped forward to address the swirling rumours, making it clear that his daughter is currently dedicated to her Sports career and is not considering marriage at this time.

He firmly dismissed the speculations as unfounded and highlighted that the interaction between Neeraj Chopra and his wife was purely familial.

"Manu is still young and focused on her ambitions in the sporting world," he stated, adding that the family holds Neeraj in high regard, considering him as a son.

Manu’s father also emphasized that these rumours are simply a byproduct of social media speculation, with no basis in reality.

Similarly, Neeraj Chopra’s uncle echoed these sentiments, stressing that any significant events in Neeraj's personal life would be shared with the public at the right time.

"Just as Neeraj's achievements in sports have been celebrated nationwide, any important milestones in his life, including marriage, will be shared openly when the time is appropriate," he assured.

The families of both athletes have urged the public and media to focus on their professional achievements rather than indulging in unfounded personal speculations.
