Liverpool confirm departure of forward on loan
Liverpool have confirmed youngster Fabio Carvalho has joined Championship outfit Hull City on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The 21-year-old was recently recalled from his loan spell at RB Leipzig in Germany, where he played just 280 minutes of Football in all comPetitions and failed to provide a single goal contribution.
Having returned to Liverpool, Carvalho has now moved on loan once again, this time to Hull City for the remainder of the campaign.
Speaking in a press release, Hull boss Liam Rosenior expressed his delight at getting the deal over the link.
"I couldn't be happier. Everyone is aware of Fabio's ability, his qualities as a young player," said the Hull manager.
"I have to give Acun [Ilicali, club owner] and Tan [Kesler, director of Football] so much credit for the work they've done to bring him here. We're building a reputation, not just in England but in Europe, for the way we develop players. Our style of play and ambition are really important factors in attracting players to the club.
"Fabio is excited to be coming here and I'm delighted to be working with him to the end of the season. Technically, he's outstanding. He can assist, score and run in behind. He's brave, quick, very balanced and takes the ball.
"The reason he's at Liverpool is because he's got enormous potential and I can't thank them enough for trusting us; Liverpool have seen the work we've done with Tyler Morton.
"Fabio's got the ability to make a real impact on our season and get us to where we want to be."
Prior to his £5m move to Liverpool in 2022, Carvalho had enjoyed a thoroughly successful spell in the Championship with Fulham. The wide forward scored an impressive 10 goals for the club during the 2021/22 campaign, earning a place in the Championship PFA Team of the Year as a result.
