Laver Cup record: Who has the most wins and how many titles does each tennis player have
For the next three days, Berlin will be the global Tennis epicentre as some of the world’s best players will be in action in the German capital with the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev representing Team Europe as they face players of the calibre of Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe from Team World. However, regardless of the stellar line-up, many Tennis fans are lamenting the absence of Rafa Nadal with the Spaniard having to pull out recently from playing at the 2024 Laver Cup.
The comPetition pits six top European players against six of their counterparts from the rest of the world (Team World) with 12 matches played over three days (nine singles and three doubles). Each match victory on day 1 is worth one point, on day 2 two points, and on day 3 three points. The first team to claim 13 points wins the tournament. Therefore, the winning team can only be decided on day 3.
The comPetition was launched in 2017 with six tournaments staged since its inception with Team Europe leading Team World by 4-2 with the World’s last two wins coming in Vancouver last year and the previous year in London.
