Las Vegas Grand Prix weather forecast: What temperatures can the drivers expect?

As we prepare for the high-octane action that Formula 1 will bring to the streets of Las Vegas, the focus is as much on the weather as it is on the brand-new circuit that will see drivers roaring past iconic locales such as Caesars Palace, the Bellagio and the Venetian.

2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix: What to know

Where drivers and form are concerned, it’s worth noting that we come into the Las Vegas Grand Prix with Max Verstappen having won the previous two races on American soil this season – in Miami and in Austin. Indeed, the Dutchman has now registered 17 wins so far in 2023 and will undoubtedly be looking to make it 18. Yet, aside from the challenge of McLaren, Mercedes, Aston Martin, and Ferrari, it would be fair to say that Verstappen and his dominant Red Bull team will be facing another obstacle, the weather.

For starters, the forecast suggests that there is a small possibility of rain on all three days of the event, however, the real question on everybody’s mind has to do with temperature. With all on-track sessions scheduled for the night, temperatures will be significantly lower. Quite frankly, projections have them falling below 10°C, which is to say it will be interesting to see how the cars, drivers, and teams are affected and more importantly how they react.
