Klay Thompson Drops Hint About Which NBA Team He Is Joining Next

Klay Thompson made several moves over the past week that seem to signal that he is leaving the Golden State Warriors.

As an unrestricted free agent, Thompson has free reign to go wherever he wants to go next. Although he expressed interest in returning to The Bay, the Warriors have been hesitant to pay him the sort of money he wants to get paid.

Late last week, things seemed to come to a head. It all started with Thompson unfollowing Golden State on social media. Then he abruptly cut ties with his longtime teammate, Stephen Curry.

Shortly thereafter, Thompson’s other Warriors teammate, Draymond Green, felt compelled to fire back at him over his latest moves.

On Sunday, Thompson made another interesting move that appeared to provide some insight into his mindset – he followed Orlando Magic star Paolo Banchero on social media.

Orlando is one of the four teams that Thompson has acknowledged he would be okay with leaving the Warriors for.

The Magic are also likely the most realistic option for him when accounting for salary cap space and what else is out there in the market.

It will be interesting to see where Thompson opts to go from here. Clearly something is happening here. What precisely that ‘something’ is can be debated, though.

Will Thompson ultimately end up joining the Magic when everything is said and done this summer? Time will tell.
