Juventus hopeful Dusan Vlahovic will sign contract extension amid Arsenal and Man Utd interest
Juventus are hopeful that Dusan Vlahovic will sign a contract extension at the club despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, sources have confirmed to 90min.
Juve forked out a whopping €70m for Vlahovic back in January 2022 after the Serbian scored a remarkable number of goals for Serie A rivals Fiorentina - bagging a Serie A-record 33 goals in the calendar year of 2021.
After a promising end to the 2021/22 campaign at Juventus, Vlahovic flattered to deceive for most of a difficult 2022/23 season under manager Max Allegri. The forward managed just 10 goals in 27 Serie A appearances for La Vecchia Signora last season, leading to speculation that he could be sold during the 2023 summer transfer window.
Sources confirmed to 90min back in June that Vlahovic had requested to leave the club during the summer, with Allegri giving his blessing for the striker to depart. However, despite interest from Arsenal, United and Bayern Munich, Vlahovic ultimately stayed at Juve beyond the transfer deadline.

Since then, despite a back injury, Vlahovic has re-found some of his best form at the start of the 2023/24 Serie A season, bagging four goals and one assists for a Juve side that have begun to mount their first genuine title challenge in a number of years.
90min understands that Juventus are now keen to tie Vlahovic down to a longer term deal and have already opened negotiations with his representatives.
La Vecchia Signora are keen to extend his contract until 2028, with his current deal expiring in 2026. Sources have stated that Vlahovic is currently much happier in Turin than he was a just a few short months ago thanks to an upturn in his fortunes in front of goal.
90min understands that, despite this, long-term admirers Arsenal and United are maintaining a watching brief on Vlahovic's situation.
Along with Vlahovic, Juventus are also pushing to tie Federico Chiesa down to a new contract. Talks are advancing with Chiesa's representatives and the club are hopeful that a deal can be hammered out.
Due to their position in the Serie A table - Juve currently sit in second place after 12 Games - the club are keen to keep hold of their prised assets in January in the hope that they can mount a title challenge.
Juventus can go top of the league with a win over arch Derby d'Italia rivals Inter at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday evening.
