Jurgen Klopp offers brutal Man Utd prediction ahead of Arsenal clash
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has backed Arsenal to comfortably beat Manchester United when the two sides meet next month.
United held on to a nervy 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday as two glorious goals from Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo undid a performance which saw Klopp's side have 62% possession and unload 28 shots on goal.
Arsenal are now back at the top of the Premier League table after comfortably beating Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday evening and, based on current form, Klopp does not expect United to have any chance of stopping the Gunners when they face off later this season.
"Arsenal is a good Football team," Klopp said after the Game. "If [United] play like today, Arsenal will win the Game, I am 100% sure. I am sorry to say that."
The draw with United means Liverpool failed to beat the Red Devils in the Premier League this season, after the two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield back in December - a performance which Klopp recently named as the turning point of Liverpool's season.
Despite failing to score, Liverpool managed 68% possession and 38 shots during the first face-off between the two teams, meaning Klopp's side managed a whopping 66 efforts on goal across two Games with United, who responded with just 15 of their own.
"In all the times since I am here, I don't think we ever dominated United like in these two games," Klopp reflected.
"We should have won the game, that is clear. Being 1-0 up at Old Trafford and having a 15-0 shooting stat is incredible. No shots in the first half and 1-0 is the lowest we could expect."
