Jurgen Klopp bites back at Amazon Prime jibe over early kick-offs
Jurgen Klopp reacted with fury after being chastised by Amazon Prime over Liverpool's regular appearances in early Premier League kick-offs after their 2-0 win at Sheffield United on Wednesday night.
Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai netted as the Reds retained the two-point gap between them and current leaders Arsenal before post-match attention turned to their next outing, the first game of Gameweek 16 at Crystal Palace at 12:30 (GMT) on Saturday.
Amazon presenter Marcus Buckland made reference to Klopp's previous disgruntlement over Liverpool's frequent involvement in early kick-offs during an interview after the game, saying: "You mentioned Jurgen, you've had to shuffle your pack, you've had a few injuries. You've got all these games, you're still going strong in the League Cup in the FA Cup. You go to Crystal Palace at your favourite kick-off time at the weekend."
Klopp replied: "That's brave. That's really brave, you made a joke about that."

Buckland tried to get things back on track, adding: "You've still got the passion, you've still got the enjoyment. Is that the same day in, day out?"
"It is. It is constant," Klopp replied. "We go home. I don't know what exactly the time is now. We get back 1am, 2am or whatever and we play again.
"We have two sessions. It's fine to recover and then we go again. Crystal Palace played tonight and that's absolutely fine. It's just not good. You don't understand it as well even when you work in Football. Why should I try to explain again? You make just completely ignorant [comments]. But it's good. Football is Entertainment and I understand."
"It's one of those issues that come up and I'm not trying to be disrespectful," Buckland added.
"You were already," Klopp retorted. "It's all good, you can say what you want but I can't say what I want because that would be completely different."
After being given Buckland's best wishes for their game against Palace, Klopp said: "Yeah, and you will tell that to Crystal Palace as well, thank you very much."
Saturday's Game at Palace will be Liverpool's fourth 12:30 kick-off of the league season, having previously beaten Wolves and Everton and drawn with Manchester City.
