James Harden Reveals His Biggest NBA Rival
James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers squared off against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors this weekend.
While the game itself was overshadowed by Curry’s troubling injury, one of the more interesting subplots involved was that it was the latest chapter in the ongoing rivalry between him and Harden.
Following the game, Harden spoke out about Curry – undoubtedly his biggest NBA rival throughout his career.
“It happened fast,” Harden remarked of his longtime rivalry with Curry.
James Harden on all the battles against Steph Curry since the 2009 draft:
“It happened fast. Just the prime of that Rockets situation going up against that dynasty was just like real… I had to really go up against a real dynasty. It’s special. I’m overly excited and proud of… pic.twitter.com/Rkn6g9jXnU

“I think just the prime of that Rockets situation going up against that dynasty was just like real. Something I don’t really look back on, I haven’t sat back and thought about it because I am still trying to accomplish things, but I had to really go up against a real dynasty. It’s special.
“I’m overly excited and proud of what he’s accomplished in his career. It’s one of those things and stories we can talk about when we get older and retire.”
Clearly Harden isn’t too mentally bothered by that ‘Diddy video’ of him from last week.
Curry obviously walked away with all the championships in this rivalry, and at this point it’s hard to see how Harden gets even one.
But that doesn’t take anything away from how fun it was to watch them square off.
Curry and Harden are two of the best guards of their generation – and both have been a lot of fun to watch since 2009.
