I was never engaged to anyone: Aagha Ali clears the air

In a recent Instagram Story, Aagha Ali addressed a misconception surrounding his personal life, clarifying that he was never engaged to anyone, contrary to some circulating rumours. Expressing gratitude to his followers for their support during a challenging period, the actor took the opportunity to set the record straight. 

Aagha revealed that the relationship he lost in 2018 was not an engagement, debunking any speculations suggesting otherwise.  "Thank you for all your kind messages and posts. Just a little correction: I was never engaged to anyone, [nor did I] say anything regarding that," penned Aagha on his IG Story.

This clarification comes as a response to the overwhelming support he received after opening up about a difficult phase in his life. While appreciating the kindness shown by his fans and followers, he felt it necessary to dispel any misinformation surrounding his past relationship status. During a recent appearance on a Ramazan transmission, Aagha offered a glimpse into a challenging period in his life back in 2018. Speaking openly about the rough patch he endured, he shared intimate details of the setbacks he faced and the profound transformation that ensued.

Reflecting on the tumultuous year, he began, “I am at a place in life where I feel I am secure enough to talk about this.” He furthered, “In 2018, I invested my money somewhere, like 80-90% of my bank balance. I was also in a relationship. 2018 was a year that took all of that from me." Amid financial setbacks and personal turmoil, Aagha found himself grappling with the erosion of his public image in the Entertainment industry. “I had my image destroyed in the industry. 99% of the people would only talk negatively about me. On social media, I could only see myself painted as a villain. I gained a lot of weight. I was not paying attention to myself at all,” he confessed.

However, amidst the darkness, Aagha found solace and redemption in an unexpected source – a pilgrimage to Makkah. “In 2018, I went on an Umrah. After that, not only did I find myself closer to God. That experience changed my life and the way I used to think about it,” he shared. The actor described how the spiritual journey brought about a profound shift in his perspective and behaviour, leading to the shedding of negativity and the embrace of a renewed sense of purpose. “My way of living, my way of handling things, my nature, my aggression - all the negativity in my life left,” he affirmed.

Expressing gratitude for the transformative power of faith, the Celebrity relayed, “I had only prayed that things were resolved because my intentions were not bad and no one knows that better than God. [During my Umrah], I prayed and cried a lot,” he disclosed. As evidence of his remarkable journey, Aagha pointed to the visible changes in his demeanour and appearance since that pivotal moment. “Even today if someone pulls out a picture of me from 2018 and compares it with me today, they will understand what I’m talking about,” he asserted.
