Huge Star From The Outsiders Movie Hosts 50’s Night At New York Drive-In

It is a Summer ritual, heading to the Drive-In for a movie. This year many local drive-in theatres are doing special events and showing some classic films.

The writers and actors strike last year resulted in fewer films being released which meant theatres have had to get a bit creative when it comes to keeping the movies fresh each week for Moviegoers.

Fair Oaks Drive-In in Middletown New York has one such event on the calendar for Saturday, August 18th, 2024 (Date Change). They will be holding a 50's Night at the Drive-In which will feature the actor C. Thomas Howell and the movie "The Outsiders". C. Thomas brought the character of Pony Boy to the big scene and on August 10th he will be appearing at the Drive-In.

Not only will C. Thomas Howell be there for the 50's night he will also be judging a classic car show that night at the drive-in. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring their classic car and be part of the fun. There will also be a costume contest with prizes awarded in various categories.

Enjoy a question-and-answer period before the movie plus a meet and greet that includes a photo-op along with a single signed item for only $50. Fairview will be offering $2 corn dogs all night as well.

In other Drive-In news the Greenville Drive-In Outdoor Cinema wants to remind patrons that they get many types of vehicles on the property so whatever you ride or drive please be courteous to the other moviegoers.

please be sure to park near a pole and leave enough space so a second vehicle can park next to you. If you need to spread out a bit, the rear rows (G-J) are usually pretty open most nights, but we need to keep the front rows (A-F) parked with two between the poles.
