Standing at 5 feet 8 inches and weighing 159 pounds, Yuki Kawamura is one of the shortest players in the NBA. Despite his height, Kawamura’s has become a vital part of the team. Unfortunately there is no information about his show size that is reliable.

Born on May 2, 2001, in Yanai, Yamaguchi, Japan, Kawamura idolized Yuki Togashi, another undersized player who excelled in professional basketball. Kawamura’s basketball journey began in high school, where he played for Fukuoka Daiichi High School. His exceptional performance led his team to back-to-back All-Japanese High School championships.

NBA career and move to the Memphis Grizzlies

Kawamura started his professional career with the San-en NeoPhoenix in the B.League under a “special designated player” status, becoming the youngest player in B. League History at 18. He later joined the Yokohama B-Corsairs, where he continued to impress.

In 2024, Kawamura signed with the Memphis Grizzlies, initially on an Exhibit 10 contract, which was later converted to a two-way contract. His preseason performance, averaging 3.4 points and 4.2 assists in 15.1 minutes per game, showcased his potential and earned him a spot on the Grizzlies’ roster.

Kawamura’s journey to the NBA highlights that height is not the only determinant of success in basketball. His agility, court vision, and determination have allowed him to overcome physical limitations and make a significant impact in the league.
