1:00 pm Keeneland (Race 1) – Derrick 9/5 (2-star play)

This son of Arrogate showed plenty of ability when 3rd in a mile maiden special weight at Indiana Downs in his debut in August. The 3-year-old was beaten 1.75 lengths on that occasion, however he faded when racing over a 16th further in a $75,000 maiden claimer at Churchill Downs subsequently.

A drop in grade and distance are both in his favor today and he looks up to breaking his maiden for the Brad Cox barn on his third career start.  

2:04 pm Keeneland (Race 3) – You’re Avoiding Me 8/5 (2-star play)

This 4-year-old had finished on the board in 4 straight starts on both the main track and turf prior to delivering a neck success at Colonial Downs last month, coming from off the pace to take out a $30,000 claiming contest over 5.5 furlongs on turf.

The daughter of Outwork heads here after a 49.40 4-furlong work at Churchill Downs at the start of this month and is selected to register her second career win. 

4:12 pm Keeneland (Race 7) – Caravel 9/5 (2-star play)

The winner of this race 12 months ago, this mare has made 5 appearances since, winning 4 of them including 2 at Grade 1 level.

The daughter of Mizzen Mast suffered a shock defeat when bumped at the start prior to finishing 3 lengths 4th in the Grade 3 Troy Stakes on a soft turf course at Saratoga in early August. She represents a top trainer and with regular pilot Tyler Gaffalione up she looks up to returning to winning ways.
