Celtic are 1-0 down against Ross County at half-time at the Global Energy Stadium in Dingwall.

Celtic have dominated possession of the ball, as expected; however, what is unexpected is that the Hoops have struggled to create clear-cut goal-scoring chances at will.

Early in the half, Adam Idah was active with two promising efforts, a header in the 7th minute that narrowly missed to the left of goal and a right-footed shot in the 9th minute that flew just over the bar.

The Bhoys would look to test Ross Laidlaw through an Alex Valle attempt in the 13th minute, which missed the top corner by inches.

Continuing to press, Daizen Maeda had a shot blocked after a corner in the 21st minute with Liam Scales also narrowly missing a header from close range.

However, Ross County took the lead through a penalty from Ronan Hale in the 43rd minute after a retake.

The penalty itself was awarded after VAR reviewed an alleged handball by Liam Scales, resulting in the Irishman being penalised.

Kasper Schmeichel was judged by VAR to have been off his line during the first penalty, after initially saving Hale’s effort.
