Gerrard wants to bring Lionel Messi to Saudi Arabia to play against Ronaldo
However, Messi chose to move to Inter Miami to play. But that doesn’t mean Steven Gerrard gives up his dream of helping the Messi – Ronaldo pair comPete again on the field. Al-Ettifaq’s current coach shared on MBC Masr 2 channel:
“I have a dream to bring Messi to Al-Ettifaq. He is a phenomenal player and will be a great asset to the club. I know it will be difficult to bring him to Saudi Arabia. But there’s nothing wrong with daydreaming.”
Steven Gerrard also shared his thoughts on the debate about who is better between Messi and Ronaldo.
“Both Ronaldo and Messi are extraordinary players with extraordinary stories in Football. Ronaldo is a great individual scorer, while Messi is more of a complete team player. I can’t choose between the two, but both are legends.”
Messi and Ronaldo have never played together at the same club. Many of their battles came in the Super Classic comPetitions between Real Madrid and Barcelona. Both of these legends have taken their final steps in their professional careers and probably will not face each other in the same tournament. When his contract with Inter Miami expires, it is likely that Messi will only play for 1 year in his home country of Argentina and then decide to retire.
