FPL Gameweek 29: The best defenders to sign
There's a bumper set of fixtures to get stuck into in FPL Gameweek 29, including midweek games to give managers the chance of three-digit point returns.
Four of the top six in the Premier League face each other at the weekend with Manchester City vs Liverpool and Newcastle United vs Manchester United, while two of the bottom three - West Ham and Southampton - clash in London.
There are then further fixtures on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool among the teams in action twice.
There are great opportunities to earn big hauls from defensive assets in the double gameweek, so here are our top picks.
Kenny Tete (£4.4m)
FPL Gameweek 29 fixture: Bournemouth (A)
Dutch defender Kenny Tete has been one of the best performing defenders in the Premier League. He has grabbed four assists and comes up against a Bournemouth side who are right in the thick of the relegation battle.
The Cherries have conceded 54 times, making them the worst defence in the league, and while the game is on the south coast, expect Tete to be given plenty of license to get forward at the Vitality stadium. He is also only owned by 0.5% of players.
Ben Mee (£5.1m)
FPL Gameweek 29 fixtures: Brighton (A) & Manchester United (A)
This isn't the sort of pick where you're likely to get the jump on opponents as Ben Mee is pretty widely owned, but the centre back has become a big Game player for the Bees this season and often pulls out important performances when they're needed.
Brentford are first away at Brighton and can leapfrog the Seagulls into seventh with a victory. Mee has three goals and an assist so far this season, so don't bet against him rising highest during a corner.
He could provide the same aerial threat against Man Utd on Wednesday, too, though the clean sheet potential there is a little lower.
Gabriel (£5.2m)
FPL Gameweek 29 fixture: Leeds (H)
Gabriel would be a great pick this weekend for both his defensive and attacking exploits. His rampant Arsenal are at home against a Leeds team who aren't scoring much, despite having some very interesting forward players.
Chuck into the mix that the Brazilian defender is on three Premier League goals this season and he seems a very safe bet at the back.
Max Kilman (£4.4m)
FPL Gameweek 29 fixture: Nottingham Forest (A)
Max Kilman could be a wise choice just for the sake of securing a clean sheet rather for any attacking prowess. He is yet to score or assist this season but he has been in very steady form at the back for Wolves, is cheap, and only 3.4% of players have him.
They are away at Nottingham Forest who, while possessing some attacking talent, are in a poor run of form and will likely struggle to get much joy against Wolves, given they are the joint-lowest scorers in the league.
When is the FPL Gameweek 29 deadline?
The deadline to make changes for Gameweek 29 should not catch too many people out. It's at 11:00 BST on Saturday 1 April. That means you can make final changes before gearing up to watch Man City vs Liverpool at 12:30.
That is one of seven games on Saturday with Chelsea vs Aston Villa being at 17:30. Two games are played on Sunday, including Newcastle vs Manchester United, before Monday night's clash between Everton and Tottenham in the latter's first game without Antonio Conte.
Rearranged Premier League fixtures then take over on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Chelsea taking on Liverpool and Brentford visiting Man Utd in two of the biggest games.
