Directed by Kim Jung Sik, No Gain No Love features Shin Min-ah, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, Han Ji-hyeon, Joo Min-kyung, GO Wook, and Lee You-jin in pivotal roles. Originally a 12-part series on TVING, tvN, the first season of the K-drama featuring six episodes is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The romantic comedy revolves around the life of a strong working woman named Son Hae-young who stages a fake wedding with a part-time convenience store worker named Kim Ji-wook to avoid losing out on a job promotion. While Ji-wook is polite with everyone, he does not get along with Hae-young. He, however, agrees to help her to avoid trouble.

While Hae-young’s (played by Shin) wedding was shot at Nobilityum, a marriage hall in Seoul, the external shots of the event are of The Raum Social Venue, according to Korean media platforms.

Seoul’s LOTTE Hotel has served as an iconic filming location in many K-dramas, with its Executive Tower also featuring in No Gain No Love. Hae-young (played by Shin) and Ji-wook (played by Kim) are seen having dinner with the Bok family here in one of the episodes, where Ahn Woo-jae (played by Go Wook) and Kwon Yi-lin (played by Jeon Hye-won) have also been invited.

Banapresso Cafe

Fans might recall this pretty cafe as shown in the third episode where Hae-young (played by Shin) and Ji-wook (played by Kim) go after meeting Woo-jae (played by Go) and Yi-lin (played by Jeon). While the Seoul branch of Banapresso is in Gangnam, this particular scene was shot at the one in Gyeonggi-do province (Gimpo Gurae Branch).

Paju Book City

An iconic place for bibliophiles near Seoul, Paju Book City is also located in South Korea’s Gyeonggi-do province. The enriching Paju Book City tour includes a visit to the Mediterium Medical Museum, an important filming location in No Gain No Love. It is the place where Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun) signs a contract for her web novel.
