England confirm squad for June's Euro 2024 qualifiers

Gareth Southgate has announced his England squad for their Euro 2024 qualifiers in June.

The Three Lions will travel to Malta on June 16 and then host North Macedonia on June 19 to round off the 2022/23 season.

There is a maiden call-up for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who has come on leaps and bounds since Roy Hodgson returned to Selhurst Park.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is back in the setup for the first time since the World Cup in Qatar, while Brighton's Lewis Dunk and Aston Villa's Tyrone Mings have received recalls.

The likes of Raheem Sterling and Fikayo Tomori have been left out in the cold, though Kalvin Phillips - who has played just six percent of Manchester City's Premier League minutes since joining last summer - has been called up once again.

Nick Pope has been ruled out of contention through injury, while Brentford's Ivan Toney began his eight-month ban from Football last week. He has been replaced by Newcastle's Callum Wilson.
