Draftkings Best Valero Texas Open Final Round Picks 4/7/24

This Sunday, the PGA Tour presents the final round of the 2024 Valero Texas Open.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections, let’s take a look at where the final round of the Valero Texas Open will be played.

The final round of the 2024 Valero Open will be played at TPC San Antonio (AT&T Oaks Course) in San Antonio, Texas. The AT&T Oaks course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,378 yards. 

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my final round DraftKings player selections for the final round of the 2024 Valero Texas Open.

Akshay Bhatia $9,000

Since the beginning of January, Akshay Bhatia has played nine events on the PGA Tour. In those nine tournaments just mentioned, Bhatia accumulated five top 14 finishes, including an 11th place result at last week’s 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open.

In relation to this week’s 2024 Valero Texas Open field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Akshay Bhatia ranks tenth in strokes gained approach, 14th in strokes gained tee to green, third in driving accuracy, eighth in scrambling, and ninth in bogey avoidance.

Upon the completion of this afternoon’s third round at the 2024 Valero Texas Open, Bhatia is in solo first place with a score of 15 under par.

Russell Henley $9,200

The talented American has accumulated three top 24 finishes in his last six events played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the 2024 Sony Open in January.

Alex Noren $9,100

Alex Noren has accumulated five top 26 finishes in his last seven tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a ninth-place result at the 2024 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches five weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s 2024 Valero Texas Open field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Alex Noren ranks third in GIR (greens in regulation), fifth in strokes gained tee to green, 13th in strokes gained approach, and fourth in bogey avoidance.

Alex Noren has posted a quality result at TPC San Antonio in the past. Noren finished 15th at the 2023 Valero Texas Open.

Brendon Todd $8,000

Three weeks ago, Brendon Todd fired a second round 67 at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational en route to an eventual sixth place finish.

Brendon Todd also finished eighth at the 2022 Valero Texas Open.
