Draftkings Best U.S. Open Final Round Showdown Picks 6/16/24

This Sunday, Draftkings Golf fans will be presented with the final round of the 2024 U.S. Open. Let’s take a look at the final round of this event from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections, let’s review where the final round of the 2024 U.S. Open will be played.

The first round of the 2024 U.S. Open will be played at the the Pinehurst Resort (Pinehurst Number 2) in Pinehurst Village, North Carolina. The Golf course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,548 yards.

*It is noteworthy that 12 of the last 15 winners of the U.S. Open were first time major winners.

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Bryson DeChambeau $10,600

Since the beginning of February, Bryson DeChambeau has played ten tournaments (LIV Golf and PGA Tours combined). In those ten events just mentioned, DeChambeau accumulated six top nine finishes, including a second-place result at the 2024 PGA Championship four weeks ago.

Upon the completion of this afternoon’s third round at the 2024 U.S. Open, Bryson DeChambeau is in solo first place with a cumulative three round score of seven under par.

Ludvig Aberg $10,200

Ludvig Aberg has accumulated three top ten finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive second-place result at the 2024 Masters Tournament in April. I certainly like Ludvig Aberg’s chances of playing at a high level in tomorrow’s final round of the 2024 U.S. Open.

Corey Conners $8,600

The talented Canadian has accumulated three top 20 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a sixth-place result at the 2024 RBC Canadian Open two weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s 2024 U.S. Open field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Corey Conners ranks second in strokes gained tee to green, tenth in strokes gained off the tee, fifth in proximity to the hole, ninth in driving accuracy, 13th in strokes gained on par fours, and second in GIR (greens in regulation).

Tony Finau $9,000

The talented American has accumulated five top 18 finishes in his last seven tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a second-place result at the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open in April.

In relation to this week’s 2024 U.S. Open field, in the last 50 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tony Finau ranks sixth in strokes gained approach, fourth in GIR (greens in regulation), 12th in strokes gained tee to green, fifth in bogey avoidance, and 12th in strokes gained on par fives.

Tony Finau has posted a quality result at the U.S. Open previously. More specifically, Tony Finau finished eighth at the 2020 U.S. Open.
