Draftkings Best NBA Showdown Picks: Warriors vs. Kings 4/16/24
Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings
April 16, 2024 10:00 pm EDT
The Golden State Warriors travel to the Golden 1 Center for a matchup with the Sacramento Kings. Let’s take a look at this NBA game from a DFS perspective.
Prior to discussing my Draftkings picks for the Warriors vs. Kings game, let’s review an important note regarding the rules and scoring for the single game showdown contests.
For those readers who are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single game showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.
If you need to review the specific rules for the single Game showdown contests feel free to check out the Draftkings website.
Here are my Draftkings picks for this evening’s Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings matchup.
Draftkings Picks
Captain-Domantas Sabonis $11,200
Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis has certainly been a key contributor to this Kings team in 2024. Having stated that, how has Sabonis been playing recently?
Since the beginning of April, the Sacramento Kings have played eight games. In those eight games just noted, Domantas Sabonis has averaged an impressive 17.8 points, 14.1 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and 1.1 steals a game.
I also like Domantas Sabonis’s matchup tonight. Why? Sabonis will be facing a Golden State Warriors defense that has had issues containing opposing centers recently. In the last 30 Games played in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors are ranked a rather low 20th in total Draftkings points allowed a Game (57.5) to the center position.
There is no doubt in my mind that Domantas Sabonis will post quality fantasy numbers versus this vulnerable Golden State Warriors defense at the Golden 1 Center later today.
Flex Plays
De’Aaron Fox $10,200
Talented Sacramento Kings point guard Stephen Curry arrives at tonight’s playoff game with the Golden State Warriors playing outstanding basketball from a statistical perspective. In 82 games played this season, De’Aaron Fox averaged 26.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2 steals a game.
Similar to Domantas Sabonis, De’Aaron Fox draws a Golden State Warriors defense that is having trouble allowing fantasy points to the point guard position.
In the last 30 games played in the NBA, the Warriors are ranked 21st in total Draftkings points (49.1) allowed a game to the point guard position. Considering the fact that NBA has a total of 30 teams in the entire league being ranked 21st in any defensive category is clearly not good.
Additionally, from a DFS strategy standpoint, I like having Sacramento point guard De’Aaron Fox and Kings center Domantas Sabonis in my lineup for this one game slate. Why? I like the Kings to win tonight’s game. In order for the Kings to win, both Fox and Sabonis will need to play well. If Fox and Sabonis play as I expect, both players will post a large number of Draftkings points for my DFS lineup.
Additional flex plays I like: Stephen Curry $11,200: Draymond Green $8,200: Keegan Murray $7,200: Harrison Barnes $5,000.
