Before I dive into my DFS player selections for the 2024 FM Championship let’s review the Golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a Golfer’s success at this week’s LPGA Tour event.

Where will the FM Championship be played?

The 2024 FM Championship will be played at TPC Boston in Boston, Massachusetts. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 6,598 yards.

Will the FM Championship have a traditional cut after two rounds?

The 2024 FM Championship will have a field of 144 competitors to start the tournament on Thursday. This event will have a cut after the completion of the first two rounds. The top 65 golfers and ties will make the cut.

FM Championship Draftkings DFS Picks

Xiyu Lin $9,700

Last month, Xiyu Lin posted a first round 65 at the 2024 Dana Open on her way to an eventual fifth-place result.

In addition to her recent outstanding play on the LPGA Tour, Xiyu Lin won a bronze medal for China at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games two weeks ago.

I think that Xiyu Lin is one of the most talented Golfers in this week’s 2024 FM Championship field. For that specific reason, I am backing Xiyu Lin as a DFS play for this LPGA Tour Draftkings slate.

Hye Jin Choi $8,000

The talented South Korean has accumulated three top 16 finishes in her last six events played on the LPGA Tour, including a seventh-place result at the 2024 Amundi Evian Championship last month.

Hye Jin Choi also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Choi is currently ranked 19th in GIR (greens in regulation-71.41%), sixth in total birdies made (231), and 20th in total rounds under par (25).

Jin Hee Im $8,500

Jin Hee Im arrives at this week’s LPGA Tour event on the heels of three consecutive top 25 finishes, including a tenth-place finish at the 2024 AIG Women’s Open last week.

Lexi Thompson $7,900

Since the beginning of June, Lexi Thompson has played six tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those six events just mentioned, Thompson tallied four top 16 finishes, including an impressive second-place result at the 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic in June.

Due to Lexi Thompson’s quality finish at the 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the tournament to see how Thompson fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic, in relation to the field, Lexi Thompson ranked 20th in driving distance (273.5 yards), seventh in strokes gained off the tee (0.789), 11th in GIR (greens in regulation-79.2%), and third in strokes gained putting (2.397).

In my opinion, Lexi Thompson’s low Draftkings price of only $7,900 presents the best fantasy value of any Golfer on this week’s LPGA slate.
