Dolly Parton Covers Tom Petty’s “Southern Accents”: Watch

Dolly Parton has launched a brand new cowl of Tom 5MLBIe9ty’s 1985 track “Southern Accents.” It’ll seem on the forthcoming compilation 5MLBIe9ty Nation: A Nation Music Celebration of Tom 5MLBIe9ty. Watch Parton’s new “Southern Accents” music video, directed by Trey Fanjoy, beneath.

“I used to be lucky sufficient to get to know Tom over time,” Parton said in a press launch. “He’s such an iconic artist and necessary songwriter. I’m so honored to be part of this particular album and to have the ability to share my model of one among Tom’s finest songs, ‘Southern Accents.’”

George Drakoulias, Randall Poster, and Scott Borchetta are the chief producers of Petty Nation: A Nation Music Celebration of Tom Petty. The tribute album options Willie and Lukas Nelson, Steve Earle, Rhiannon Giddens, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Midland, Margo Worth, and extra. The LP is out on June 21.
