Diving Into Tiger Woods’ Rolex Watch Collection and Most Expensive Timepieces
Legendary golf player, sports restaurant owner, and founder of golf course design company TGR Design, Tiger Woods is a man of style and swagger both on the greens and off. As brand ambassador for Swiss luxury watchmakers Rolex, the American golfer is understandably an expert on quality timepieces. To celebrate the quiet opulence of Tiger Woods’ statement-making collection, we look at some of his most expensive luxury watches, from his Rolex Day-Date 40 In Everose Gold to his Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller James Cameron Edition.
As far as legends go in modern golfing history, there’s no one to rival Tiger Woods. The 48-year-old Stanford alumnus boasts an incredible 110 professional wins in his illustrious 28-year career, a celebrated inductee of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Following an excellent start in junior, college, and amateur golf, Woods’ debut year in the realm of pro golf was nothing short of spectacular.
In June 1997, less than a year after turning pro, Woods reached number one in the Official World Golf Ranking. To date, he’s won 82 PGA Tours, in which he is currently tied for 1st in all-time wins. Further adding to his accolades, Woods has won 41 European Tours, three Japan Golf Tours, two Asian Tours, and numerous others.
Accolades and honours aside, there’s more to this tiger than meets the eye. As a keen collector and brand ambassador for Rolex, Tiger Woods possesses an eye for quality, especially where luxury watches are concerned. His personal collection is legendary, rivaling those of other notable collectors the likes of Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran, Michael Jordan, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

From the Deepsea Sea-Dweller ‘D-Blue’ to the Day-Date, here are Tiger Woods’ most expensive Rolex watches
Rolex Day-Date 40 in Everose Gold
The indisputable crown jewel and the most expensive timepiece in Tiger Woods’ luxury watch collection, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 in Everose Gold is priced at about USD 63,200. Featuring an oyster case and president bracelet composed of stunning 18k Everose Gold, this watch is a masterpiece that exudes refinement and sophistication.
Woods’ selected model plays to the warmth of the rose gold with an olive-green dial, which is further accentuated by a fluted bezel that echoes with the grandeur of Rolex’s high craftsmanship. The watch is equipped with Calibre 3255, a self-winding, mechanical, and perPetual movement that proffers superior performance, precision, power reserve, and protection against shocks and magnetic fields — an excellent companion both on the Golf greens and on the red carPet.
Rolex Day-Date 40 in White Gold
Fully epitomising the phrase ‘get one in every colour’, Woods is also the proud owner of a second Rolex Day-Date 40 — this one in white gold. Offered only in precious metals, Rolex’s Day-Date model can certainly be considered the creme de la creme of the horological world, and this one sits near the very top of Tiger Woods’ most expensive luxury watches.
For this iteration, Woods’ selection veers into quiet luxury and minimalism, an understated beauty with whisper-quiet, and yet exceedingly notable quality. Featuring a white gold oyster case and president bracelet paired with a white dial with roman numeral indices, this spectacular timepiece is likewise priced at around USD 41,500.
Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller ‘D-Blue’ James Cameron Edition
Designed to honour filmmaker and deep-sea explorer James Cameron’s 2012 Deepsea Challenger submersible mission to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, Rolex’s Deepsea Sea-Dweller ‘D-Blue’ sits among the most expensive watches in Tiger Woods’ luxury watch collection. This mesmerising timepiece features an intriguing ‘D-Blue’ dial that slowly gradates from brilliant blue to bottomless black, reflecting the vast unknown of the deep sea. In keeping with the theme, it also features chromalight hour markers and hands imbued with luminescent material that emits an enduring blue glow, making it suitable for dark conditions.
Incorporating the brand’s patented Ringlock Technology and airtight waterproofness, the corrosion-resistant watch is safe for use as far as 3,900 metres (12,800 feet) below surface. Composed of an Oystersteel case, a Cerachrom bezel insert in black ceramic, and an Oyster bracelet, this watch ranks among Woods’ favourites, where it has famously stood by his side as he won his last major tournament, the 2019 Masters. It is also equipped with Calibre 3235, a self-winding, mechanical, and perPetual movement with 70 hours of power reserve. It currently retails at around USD 10,900.

Further proving his dedication to Rolex, Tiger Woods also owns a second Deepsea Sea-Dweller, a pricey piece that is certainly one of the most expensive watches in his luxurious collection. Swapping out the iconic D-Blue dial for an intense black variation, the now discontinued Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller Ref. 116660 combines an Oystersteel case with a Cerachrom bezel insert in black ceramic and an oyster bracelet. While newer models of the Deepsea Sea-Dweller have since been released, Woods’ iconic version has accompanied him faithfully across the years, earning it a well-deserved spot in his lavish collection. The latest model of the Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller retails at USD 10,900.
Rolex GMT-Master II Two Tone
A limited edition that has since been discontinued, Tiger Woods’ Rolex GMT-Master II Two Tone (Ref. 116713LN) marries 18k yellow gold with stainless steel in its oyster bracelet, resulting in an unapologetically sumptuous appearance. A two-toned case houses a glossy black dial and a rotating black bezel with gold accents, further accentuated by luminous gold indices and a matching luminous handset. The watch operates on Rolex’s Calibre 3186, an automatic movement that proffers 48 hours of power reserve time. While it is no longer in production, it can be found on the secondary market from around USD 14,571.
Rolex Datejust II
As the predecessor to the current Rolex Datejust 41, the Rolex Datejust II was the first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch that displayed the date at 3 o’clock on its dial. Rumoured to be the first of Tiger Woods’ many Rolex watches, the Datejust II in his luxury collection features a classic blue sunburst dial with roman numerals, a fluted bezel, and a stainless-steel oyster bracelet.
A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens provides protection for the exquisitely simple timepiece, which exudes easy elegance. While the Ref. 116300 model has since been discontinued, it can be found on the secondary market from around USD 8,391, making it one of the most expensive luxury watches owned by Tiger Woods.
Rolex Submariner Date
As the pioneering wristwatch in diving, the Rolex Submariner launched in 1953 as the first of its kind, waterproof up to 100 metres (330 feet). Today, it is waterproof up to 300 metres (1,000 feet), incorporating key features like a unidirectional rotatable bezel and a glowing display. Large luminescent hour markers in simple shapes provide instant and reliable readings, reducing the risk of confusion and helping divers to keep track of the time in trying situations.
One of the most expensive watches in Tiger Woods’ luxury collection, the Rolex Submariner Date of his choice features an Oyster case with a black Cerachrom bezel insert in black ceramic, a black dial, and Chromalight display, which allows for improved visibility and reliability in the dark. The watch, which frequently accompanies Woods on golf sessions, runs on the Rolex Calibre 3235, with 70 hours of power reserve. The watch currently retails at about USD 10,250.
