Draftkings Best PGA Championship DFS Picks 5/16/24

The PGA Tour travels to Kentucky for the 2024 PGA Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a Draftkings perspective.

Before I dive into my Draftkings player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2024 PGA Championship.

Where will the PGA Championship be played?

The 2024 PGA Championship will be played at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. The Golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,609 yards.

The Valhalla Golf Club has previously hosted the PGA Championship three times (1996, 2000, and 2014).

2024 PGA Championship Draftkings Picks

Xander Schauffele $10,900

Xander Schauffele has accumulated four top eight finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a second-place finish at the 2024 Players Championship in March.

Brooks Koepka $10,800

Brooks Koepka checks the box for me when it comes to current form. Since the beginning of February, Brooks Koepka has played seven events on the LIV Golf Tour. In those seven tournaments just noted, Koepka has accumulated four top 13 finishes, including a win at the 2024 LIV Golf Singapore event two weeks ago.

It has to be said, Brooks Koepka is an animal in major championship events. Let me be more specific. Since the beginning of 2018, Brooks Koepka has played in 22 major championships. In those 22 events just mentioned, Koepka accumulated an impressive 13 top 17 finishes, including a win at the 2023 PGA Championship.

Tommy Fleetwood $8,700

The talented Englishman has accumulated three top 13 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive third place result at the 2024 Masters Tournament in April.

Byeong Hun An $8,300

Since the beginning of January, Byeong Hun An has played 13 events on the PGA Tour. In those 13 tournaments just mentioned, An accumulated eight top 21 finishes, including a fourth-place result at the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson two weeks ago.

Byeong Hun An finished 22nd at the 2020 PGA Championship.

Adam Scott $7,700

Adam Scott has accumulated four consecutive top 30 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 14th place result at the 2024 Valero Texas Open last month.

Sepp Straka $7,500

Sepp Straka arrives at this week’s tournament on the heels of three consecutive top 16 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2024 RBC Heritage four weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s 2024 PGA Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Sepp Straka ranks third in GIR (greens in regulation), sixth in driving accuracy, 14th in bogey avoidance, and first in strokes gained on par fours.

In my opinion, Sepp Straka presents the best fantasy value of any Golfer on this week’s Draftkings PGA Championship DFS slate.
