Indian Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has responded to a warning issued by the Telangana government, which sought to prevent him from performing songs promoting alcohol consumption and violence. T

he warning came ahead of his concert in Hyderabad, part of his "Dil Luminati" tour, on Saturday night.

The Telangana government had raised concerns over some of Dosanjh’s song lyrics, claiming they encouraged alcohol and violence. In response, the singer took a playful jab at the warning during his concert. A video clip of his remark quickly went viral on social media.

Dosanjh expressed his frustration by pointing out the disparity in treatment between international artists and local performers. "When artists from other countries come here, they are allowed to do whatever they want, but when someone from your own country sings, people get upset. Some people can't handle my success," he said.

Despite the controversy, Dosanjh appeared pleased with his performance in Hyderabad, sharing his excitement on social media: "Thank you Hyderabad, yesterday’s energy was out of this world!"

The "Del Luminati" tour, which began on October 26 at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, includes concerts in 10 cities across India, including Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.

This marks another chapter in Dosanjh’s ongoing success as he continues to captivate audiences across the country.
