Devin Booker Names Team USA’s Real ‘Captain America’ In 2024 Olympics

Team USA has had a fairly easy run through the 2024 Olympics up to this point.

Multiple players have stepped up big for the American side, but one in particular was anointed by head coach Steve Kerr as the team’s best player.

Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns is the only star on the team who has consistently remained in the starting lineup. Because of that, he has had an opportunity to play with everyone and is uniquely qualified to pick out Team USA’s ‘Captain America’ of this year’s Olympics.

His choice? Kevin Durant.

“That’s Captain America status. I feel like he has every Olympic record. Now we have to get him his fourth gold… Now that we’re teaMMAtes [on the Suns], I get to see [his hard work] behind the scenes.”

This week Durant broke Team USA’s scoring record, but clearly that isn’t the priority for him in the 2024 Olympics. Rather, he is in Paris right now to bring home the gold. Will he ultimately be successful? Time will tell.
